Lovell returned to deputy president’s chair in upper house

The Liberal member was sworn in on the first sitting day of the 60th Victorian Parliament on Tuesday, December 20 and during the same sitting was nominated, unopposed, to the deputy president’s position.

Labor’s Shaun Leane, a member for North-Eastern Metropolitan region, was elected, also unopposed, as president.

Ms Lovell said she was honoured to once again be elected as deputy president of the Legislative Council and was looking forward to working with her colleagues to best represent constituents.
