The event will be held on Good Friday at the Lockington Recreation Reserve to help raise money for the Good Friday Appeal.
Event organiser Nicole Cunnington said the day will support a cause important to herself and other community members.
“It's just a bit of fun for something for the kids to do on Good Friday and to support the Good Friday Appeal,” she said.
“My son was at the Royal Children’s Hospital for the first two months of his life... plus I’ve known a lot of other people over the years that have had to deal with the children’s hospital.
“The community have always been great, even the past few years when I didn’t run an event, I just did raffles, and we still had great support with that.”
The event has raised over $5000 in previous years, and Mrs Cunnington is hoping this year will be a record breaker.
The Easter egg hunt will start at 10.30am and will run in three different age categories.
Any children hoping to participate are encouraged to arrive at 10am to complete registrations.
Although the Easter egg hunt will be the main attraction, there will also be plenty on offer for the whole family to enjoy.
There will be activities such as connect four, ring toss, a three-legged race and rolls of colouring pages.
A morning tea will also be available for purchase on the day and there will be a raffle running too with all funds to be donated to the appeal.
There is a $10 entry fee per child, which will cover access to all activities, including the Easter egg hunt.
