The only concern Mark Lambourn has about his new career in real estate is that he might be too honest for the job.

Although he knows that’s a trait his customers will probably appreciate most about him.
For years, he’s managed people.
His last post, in local government — taking care of Moira Shire’s parks and gardens facilities and sports and recreation — saw him lead a team of more than 40 across three depots.
He has also worked a stint with AFL Victoria.
Mr Lambourn said his time honing his people skills would transfer neatly to his new role as sales executive with Cardamone Real Estate.
He is looking forward to continuing to work with people from a different angle in a different field.
“I just want to help them out now on their pathways, whether it’s buying a house, renting a house or leasing, whatever that is,” Mr Lambourn said.
“For a lot of people, buying a house is probably one of the biggest things they do in their life.
“I just feel if I can be a part of that, it’s going to be really rewarding.”
Cardamone Real Estate is a family owned and operated business established by Peter and Lindi Cardamone in 2014.
Today, it employs 15 staff and operates from spacious offices in McLennan St, Mooroopna.
“I’m excited about joining the team, Peter and the rest of the crew, looking forward to learning off all of them and see where it takes me,” Mr Lambourn said.

While Mr Lambourn and Mr Cardamone have been friends for years, Mr Lambourn said business was business.
He’s been “smashing out” his Certificate IV in Real Estate throughout the past few months and is looking forward to putting theory into practice and building rapport with clients in the real estate world.
“I think real estate has changed a lot in the last 10, 15, 20 years, so I don’t think you can be too honest,” Mr Lambourn said.
“I think, ‘How would I like to be treated?’, and that’s just for someone to be honest and work together on it.
“Put your trust in Mark Lambourn and let’s see where this will take us.”
Mr Lambourn said he would take on commercial, residential, business and rural portfolios.
“Whatever people want to buy or sell, we’re here to help them out,” he said.
