Jobs@GV Health Day aims to connect the region’s job seekers with its largest employer.
GV Health talent acquisition manager Tess Simkin said all job seekers were encouraged to come along to get help with their application, apply for jobs, sign up to volunteer, or talk to GV Health staff about the opportunities available.
“This is a great opportunity to come and see us onsite at GV Health and speak with our hiring managers and recruiters directly about the positions we have available, your career aspirations and suitability for our roles,” she said.
“Bring your resume along with you, and if you don’t have a resume, don’t worry, as you can get support on the day to get one started — we will also have our team supporting attendees to apply online for a position.”
GV Health has many full-time, part-time and casual positions available, and is currently hiring administration staff, customer service staff, kitchen staff, cleaners and many more positions, as well as offering volunteer opportunities.
Ms Simkin acknowledged it had been a challenging time for the community these past two years, which had driven workforce shortages in the health sector.
“Our aim is to showcase and encourage job seekers to apply for one of the many positions we have available, not only clinical staff such as nurses and doctors, but also cleaners, kitchen and café staff, IT workers, administration staff, payroll, trades and many more,” she said.
"Running a health service is a big operation and we need a diverse set of skills to make it all happen.
“We look forward to meeting you on Wednesday and sharing information about all of the jobs we have on offer.”

Arriving: please enter through the main entrance of GV Health located on Graham St. You will need to go through our temperature testing station and then you will be escorted to the Jobs@GV Health Day by one of our friendly volunteers.
