Moira Shire Council invested more than $300,000 in the upgrade works, which will help prevent water pooling, improve surface conditions, create safer pedestrian access, and ensure the space remains usable throughout the season.
The project will improve car parking, pedestrian access, drainage and the landscaped area along the netball court and playground will be extended.
Moira Shire Council Chair Administrator Dr Graeme Emonson visited the site on February 24 to see the progression.
“Investing in local sporting facilities and improving safety for all users, is essential to ensure the needs of our growing community are met,” Dr Emonson said.

“With these improvements, we are ensuring JC Lowe Oval continues to be a fantastic hub for football, netball and other community activities.
Yarrawonga Football Netball Club president Ross Mulquiney said the upgrades would enhance the entire area.
"These upgrades will make a huge difference for our players, supporters, and visitors,” Mr Mulquiney said.
“Improved drainage means fewer disruptions to training and game days, while better access and parking will make it easier for everyone to enjoy the facilities.
“We’re grateful for Moira Shire Council’s support in delivering these much-needed upgrades and for helping to get works scheduled ahead of what we’re expecting to be another big season for the Pigeons.”
