Guides has a great variety of activities throughout the year and inspire girls and young women to be their best.
They also help girls develop their skills in a safe environment while having fun and finding friends.
The Girl Guide Hall is located at 44 Whitelock St, Deniliquin and sessions are held each Tuesday night during the school term from 6.30pm to 8pm.
Fees are $210 per year for membership to Girl Guides NSW and the Deniliquin branch is $30 per term.
The guides have two nights at no charge for your child to try and see if they enjoy the activities on offer.
Local Guide leader Frieda Nolan is delighted with a recent increase in participation.
“Over a three week span we have had our numbers go from four girls to 11.
“The more participants we have the more activities we can run,” she said.
Frieda is also excited about plans for the coming summer season.
“We have some great outdoor activities planned for the girls when we can get outside and enjoy summer,” she said.
Both Frieda and leader Elaine Russell attended a training seminar on the Central Coast, gaining qualifications to take the girls camping.
The Girl Guides have a fundraiser at every Deniliquin Lions market in the Waring Gardens.
The markets are held on the fourth Saturday of each month and Guides hold a stall with delicious hot jam and cinnamon donuts available.
