It's all very hush hush because Greater Shepparton City councillors can't discuss what happens in confidential briefings, but unfortunately, the topics discussed are not a secret.
Published in the latest records of Assemblies of Councillors is a two-word discussion point - ‘Big Vegemite'.
It isn't the first time a giant jar of the iconic yeast extract has been discussed. In 2015 Kraft Foods Australia announced on its Vegemite Facebook page that the company had plans to construct a five-storey-high big Vegemite jar on top of its Port Melbourne factory.
It was an April Fool’s Day joke but more than 2600 people liked the idea.
Shepparton does have a connection to Vegemite, albeit a fairly faint one.
Cyril Callister, a food scientist, was the inventor of Vegemite and his love of science was instilled by his father William, who was principal at Shepparton High School before and during World War I.
Vegemite was discovered around 1922 when the Fred Walker Company (later known as Kraft) charged Cyril with developing a yeast extract spread to rival the British Marmite.
It is little known that Cyril also invented the second component of what is probably Australia's most popular school lunch sandwich filling - processed cheese.
Shepparton already has the Warhol-esque Campbell's Soup can outside the factory in Lemnos and a not-so-big pear in Shepparton East.
The News has sought clarification on what the discussion is about.
