International Women’s Day Breakfast approaches

Women will be celebrated at the upcoming International Women’s Day Breakfast.

The annual Soroptimist International of Shepparton event is set to see nearly 200 women gather at Shepparton’s Parklake.

Committee member Jeanette Berry said with two local guest speakers lined up, attendees were in for a real treat.

‘‘This year we’ve got Professor Alicia Jenkins, who is the global president of Insulin For Life and we’ve got Kate Palmer, who is the Sport Australia chief executive — so two amazing women,’’ Ms Berry said.

‘‘We like to try and get local women who can share their success stories and inspire us all.’’

Ms Berry said along with the special guests women could look forward to a delicious breakfast and lucky door prizes, and a raffle would also take place to finish off the morning.

With limited tickets left, she encouraged women of the community to get a hold of a ticket to secure their spot at the event.

The breakfast will be held at the Parklake in Shepparton on Thursday, March 7, from 7.30am to 9.30am.
