Some 141 students from 42 different courses celebrated their achievements across two ceremonies on Tuesday, March 25 at Riverlinks Eastbank in Shepparton.
Nursing, pathology, cybersecurity, education support and mental health were the top five courses represented, with qualifications ranging from Certificate I to Diploma level.
For many students, the ceremony represented more than just the end of their studies — it was the beginning of their next chapter.
Among the graduates was IT and cybersecurity student Jakk Devlin.
Mr Devlin was part of a panel discussion at both ceremonies, where he, alongside two students and a teacher, encouraged graduates to embrace opportunities and be bold now that they had completed their studies.
“For all graduating students, I would really encourage them to take the opportunities that come your way,” he said.
“You have the skills and experience to go out and make a difference in our community.”
Mr Devin encouraged those considering enrolling in vocational education to “put yourself outside your comfort zone and you will see great things”.
Mr Devlin’s message was supported by nursing teacher Caragh Butler, who also addressed graduating students.
“My message is to be bold,” she said.
“All graduating students should be so proud of their efforts so far.
“All the hard yards you have put in, all the effort and sacrifices, it has paid off.”
