Inland Rail holds meet and greet

Get ready: Inland Rail is holding ‘meet the contractor’ events across the state.

The Inland Rail project hosted a meet and greet event at the Seymour Club last week.

Representatives of McConnell Dowell, the preferred contractor for the first portion of the project, attended the event.

It was an opportunity for local businesses to understand the opportunities and how to be a part of the Inland Rail.

An Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) spokesperson said the event was successful and local businesses were excited about the potential jobs and economic growth.

“Ninety-five attendees from a range of local and Indigenous businesses and companies attended the event, giving them the chance to meet representatives from the preferred contractor and engage with the Inland Rail program,” the spokesperson said.
