Banger and mash-up: SPC and Vegemite have gone a step further than their culinary mix, getting a top DJ to combine their advertising jingles.

Vegemite baked beans was just the first step, now you can prepare your meal to the mash-up of their popular advertising jingles.

Dubbed the Ultimate Aussie Mash-up, the house music banger mixed by Aussie DJ Andy Murphy combines SPC’s Hungry Little Human Beans and Vegemite’s Happy Little Vegemites.

“I’ve created a 90s piano-house influenced dance track using the jingles of iconic Australian brands SPC and Vegemite,” Mr Murphy said.

“These jingles have been such an iconic part of living and growing up in Australia, and I wanted to create a feeling of nostalgia, in a progressive, fun and funky way.”

The musical partnership follows the release of SPC Baked Beans and Vegemite, which hit supermarket shelves in May.

“We are pumped to continue the momentum from the launch,“ SPC marketing manager George Dimkin said.

"It’s been so much fun working with Andy, and we’re excited to see the response from baked beans lovers and club goers! We wanted to inject some of the fun back into the baked beans aisle and it’s fantastic to see that we’ve now got a mash-up that combines our jingles.”

Murphy has officially added the new release to Spotify, Apple Music, Soundcloud and Amazon Music but it remains to be seen whether it will make the streaming charts.
