Local Federal Members, Independent Federal Member for Indi Helen Haines and Federal Member for Farrer Sussan Ley, are inviting nominations from not-for-profit organisations across their electorates to apply for funding under the Commonwealth Government’s Stronger Communities Programme.
Cash grants of between $2,500 to $20,000 are available to spend on new equipment or upgrades, installing solar panels, computer or I.T. gear, adding new war memorials and much more.
Every federal electorate in Australia receives a total of $150,000 under the program, with a local independent committee assessing funding for up to 20 local projects.
Initial applications are welcome through an Expressions of Interest (EOI) form which is available both Ms Ley’s and Ms Haines’ website or give their office a call.
It is strongly advised to carefully check your eligibility, including the type of items or activities you can take on, listed in detail with the official government guidelines.
