Campaspe Shire Council is starting its community consultation program, where people can provide feedback to guide council’s future actions, helping to formulate the community vision for the next 15 years as well as informing the Council Plan 2025-29.
As part of the community consultation, a citizens panel of 40 people who represent the diverse voices of our community will be formed.
The panel members will be chosen through a democratic lottery undertaken by external consultants.
A total of 8000 invitations have been sent to randomly selected addresses.
The people on the panel will learn about issues, discuss them with one another and then make recommendations to council about what should happen in their community and if or how things should change.
The citizens panel will take place from March 21-23 in Echuca.
Even if you don’t receive an invitation, you can still be involved by completing a quick, anonymous online survey before March 10.
The survey can be accessed via the Campaspe Shire Council website or through a QR code on postcards and posters available at all service centres and libraries.
Although the survey is anonymous, those who complete it can opt to go in the draw to win one of three $50 vouchers.
