The Bombers made the trip to Kings Park to take on Seymour and came home with a 74-point win after the final siren sounded.
The contest was tight early as the sides traded blows, with Kyabram having a slender advantage at the first change.
But from there it was all the Bombers.
Paul Newman’s and Sam Sheldon’s troops piled on 12 goals to one in the final three terms to put the Lions to the sword on their own turf.
Kayne Pettifer was again in a goal-kicking mood with six majors to take his season tally to 30 from seven outings, while Kyle Mueller slotted three to have 26 to his name this campaign.
Brad Mangan (two goals), Mick Mattingly, Josh Dillon and Nick Coulstock also hit the scoreboard for the visitors in the triumph.
Brad Whitford continued his solid start to the year with a best afield performance, while Sheldon and Pat Wearden were also among the more influential players on the field.
The Lions battled hard across the ground, but were simply outclassed by the might of the Bombers, especially without co-coach and midfield maestro Jason Cole, who missed the match through a lingering injury that also kept him out of last week’s interleague game.
Rory Scopel, Lachie Waite, Tom Hedley, Tom Freeman, Kier Bol and Hamish Winter-Irving did their best to fill the void, but in the end Kyabram was simply too good.
Hedley, Aiden Adams and Ben Rigoni were Seymour’s goal-kickers, with seven behinds also not helping the final margin for the home side.
Kyabram 2.3, 7.7, 9.11, 14.15 (99)
Seymour 2.1, 2.4, 2.5, 3.7 (25)
