Ardmona Primary School will receive $15,000 worth of funding, including $10,000 for issues with the school’s roofing and $5000 for concrete repair and shade structure repainting.
Structural issues at Tallygaroopna Primary School will be investigated and fixed with $20,000 worth of funding, while similarly most of the $30,000 for Orrvale Primary School will look to address “high-priority maintenance tasks”.
Ceiling repair, revarnishing, shade structure repair, soffit replacement, structural repair, wall repainting, wall repair, wall replacement and window repair will be undertaken with $25,000, while the rest of the money will address roofing issues.
Guthrie St Primary School will receive $25,000 in funding, including $20,000 for roofing issues and $5000 for revarnishing walls and floors and fascia repainting.
More than 110 schools across the state received funding from the Victorian Government, which totalled $11.24 million.
State Member for Northern Victoria Mark Gepp said it was important funding.
“This investment ensures schools in Greater Shepparton are safe and comfortable — giving our students the best possible settings to learn and thrive in,” he said.
Victorian Education Minister Natalie Hutchins said the funding was to ensure every Victorian school was “well maintained and safe".
“Our record investment in school infrastructure is delivering high-quality classrooms for our hard-working principals, teachers and staff, as well as students and families,” she said.
