There is so much that is out of our control, but the Benalla Golf Club has moved quickly to keep its business moving forward during lockdown, including ramping-up its takeaway menu.
Club manager Deb Wade said we lived in a different world right now, but she was positive that life would return to normal.
Deb said the current circumstances and the restrictions were making life challenging for everyone.
She said it was important we solved the health crisis and followed the restrictions, but she was really looking forward to the guidelines being relaxed, so businesses could return to normal.

Deb said she personally could not wait to see the course crawling with people again and enjoying a day with friends, outside.
However, until the ban is lifted, she and her staff are focused on preparing meals and promoting the delivery side of operations to bring revenue in.
Four nights a week, Wednesday to Saturday, you can phone the club from 1 pm to place your order. There is also a children’s menu.
“I never thought we would be doing takeaway meals,” Deb said.

“But the support from locals, who have responded fantastically to our menu and ordered meals, has been incredible.
“I was so surprised at the response and so thankful for the community’s response.”
Deb said the JobKeeper salary scheme had allowed the club to retain about three-quarters of their staff roster, which was rotating employees, while they hoped to increase the number of meals during the coming weeks.
She said the attitude of the staff during this pandemic had been commendable and it was comforting to know that people could still work, even under these unprecedented circumstances.
