The all-rounder showcased his class in Tongala's nine-wicket demolition of Cooma, whacking 103 off 204 deliveries.
Coombs’ ton single-handedly surpassed Cooma's total of 98.
Opening batsman Jayden Tucker (59) hit a dazzling half-century and provided a helping hand with Coombs in steering the Blues to 4-279 off their 80 overs.
Josh Thurston chipped in with a superb 50 not out after the result was locked in, while Cooma's Liam Barrett (2-71) was the leading bowler for the Two Blues.
Saturday's victory ended Cooma's undefeated start to the season and dropped it into second spot due to percentage.
In other round six results, Rochester clinched its second win of the season with a three-wicket victory against Echuca South.
The reigning premier was too strong for South, with Tim Bubb's steady 83 off 249 deliveries the perfect platform for the rest of the team in reaching 4-223.
Bubb and teammate Colby Wade (60) linked up for a match-winning 114-run partnership in reply to South's 9-191.
The loss continues South's luckless start to the season, with no wins from five matches.
Meanwhile, a strong all-round bowling effort from Kyabram Fire Brigade restricted Moama to 186 in reply to the Flames’ day one total of 317.
Moama started brightly, reaching 50 for no loss, but the wickets began to slowly tumble after Brad Jones (21) departed.
Anthony McMahon (94) produced a stirring performance, but ran out of batting partners as Fire Brigade's Jayden Rosin (4-39) rolled through Moama's line-up.
The batting collapsed came swiftly, with Moama remarkably losing 7-29, as all but one of the Flames’ seven bowlers walked off the ground with a wicket.
And lastly, Echuca saluted by four wickets against Bamawm-Lockington United at Victoria Park.
Chasing United's 205, Echuca's opening batsmen Matthew Hinks (58) and Fraser Buchanan (64) combined for a match-winning 121-run opening stand.
The pair's half centuries allowed Echuca to cruise home after 66.5 overs.
