The forum — hosted by the Committee for Greater Shepparton — will feature majority of the 11 candidates vying for the seat at the May 21 election.
C4GS chief executive Linda Nieuwenhuizen said the event would have a question and answer format moderated by herself and Darren Linton from The News.
“We are hopeful that we can have the full 11 candidates in attendance, we are just awaiting confirmation from a couple of them,” she said.
The free event is open to C4GS members and Nicholls constituents, who could register online via Eventbrite.
Candidates for the seat of Nicholls are: Sam Birrell for the Nationals, Steve Brooks for the Liberal Party, independent Rob Priestly, Dr Rob Peterson for the United Australia Party, One Nation candidate Rikkie-Lee Tyrrell, Bill Lodwick for Labor, Ian Christoe for the Greens, Jeff Davy for the Australian Citizens Party, Andrea Otto for the Fusion Party, Tim Laird for the Liberal Democrats and Eleonor Tabone for the Australian Federation Party.
Ms Nieuwenhuizen encouraged the Goulburn Valley’s youth and people voting for the first time to participate in the event.
The forum is on at Riverlinks Eastbank Centre, 70 Welsford St, Shepparton, from 5.30pm to 7pm, on Tuesday, April 26.
People can submit up to three questions, either when they register or via email to jodie.fleming@c4gs.com.au
