The Irrigation Research & Extension Committee (IREC) is conducting a ‘Cotton Growing Innovation – Farm Walk’ on Tuesday, February 4.
This will be from 9am to 10.30am at Stott Farming, Farm 1710, Whitton Rd, Whitton.
Join them for an opportunity to see cotton growing innovation in action, with the trial focus around cotton sown in a double skip row formation with furrows every 4m.
This setup uses half the area typically required and aims to determine if water usage can be reduced by 50 per cent.
Hear from local farmer Dallas Stott about this approach.
Free morning tea is provided. RSVP at https://bit.ly/IRECCottonFarmWalk, by phoning 0449 511 507 or email po@irec.org.au.
IREC is also calling for nominations for an upcoming trip to Tasmania from February 18-20. Phone the number above for further information
