Adrian said this year he was keen to focus on cooking game and will bring back kangaroo as a highlight for his Saturday sessions and venison on the Sunday.
This year there will also be an All Time BBQ Hour (actually one-and-a-half hours) — a big session focusing on the use of the kettle Weber barbecue, smokers and old-school classic flat-top barbecues.
“We will introduce the audience to the world of reverse sear steaks, smash burgers and some American low and slow classics,” Adrian said.
These sessions will be held on Saturday and Sunday, with the final session on Saturday seeing Adrian taking the humble chook and showing people how to break it down and use it for a couple of different dishes.
Adrian said Lila was super excited to be back and to show off her old-fashioned cookie press and demonstrate how to easily turn great cookies into a gluten-free treat.
Sunday will see Adrian kick the morning off decorating cakes.
“This is something I’ve been doing for over 20 years and l will show the audience how easy it is to make a quick and simple wedding cake,” he said.
“And after Sunday’s barbecue session we will be finishing off the day with my popular cinnamon buns — I started making them for my work during the lockdowns and they are now one of the most requested items I make.”
For all this and more, visit Adrian and Lila on Saturday and Sunday in the Country Kitchen.
