If the expression a picture paints 1000 words rings true, then the attendees of the Mooroopna Education and Activity Centre art classes have canvassed novels worth of stories.

In a newly renovated classroom, participants hone their skills and expand their collections by creating one masterpiece after another.
Local artist and MEAC volunteer Carol Evans conducts the classes and, more importantly, gives her students the confidence to exhibit and sell their work.
“All the passage-way and this (main foyer area inside MEAC) displays our artwork,” she said.
“There’s also a craft store – everything has been handmade by our craft group, and they’re all for sale.”
News journalist Taylah Baker went to the exhibition and attended Thursday morning’s art class to capture the budding Basquiats and Monets in the making.
