Paid parking and fines for unpaid or overstayed parking will resume on Monday, February 3 as free parking ends on Friday, January 31.
People planning to stay in the Shepparton CBD for several hours should park in an all-day space or move their car to a new zone before the time limit expires.
City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Shane Sali said he hoped residents and visitors utilised the free parking over the holiday period to support local businesses and visit the many great cafés and restaurants in the CBD.
“Council remains committed to creating a positive experience for everyone visiting our CBD,” he said.
“With the continuation of complimentary off-street parking and time-limited free weekend options, there are still plenty of convenient and cost-effective parking choices available.”
The PayStay app aims to make parking more simple and efficient, allowing users to find parking zones, start and stop parking sessions and view their parking history.
It also provides information on available parking bays and time limits across the Shepparton CBD.
“We encourage everyone to take advantage of the PayStay app to make parking simpler and more efficient,” Cr Sali said.
On-street car parks remain free on the weekend, with time limits in place.
Council-owned off-street car parks remain free and timed.
