Claire Ewart-Kennedy will take on the role as director of GV Health Foundation and Engagement following years of work with philanthropic causes and with politicians.
Ms Ewart-Kennedy is a proud co-parent and founder of the Hush Foundation, which has developed products, services and music therapy into many paediatric hospitals across Australia.
She was also chief of staff for former Federal Member for Nicholls Damian Drum and has experience in media, communications and engagement in the not-for-profit, private, corporate and government sectors.
“I am excited about the opportunity to partner with individuals, organisations and communities to deliver significant and measurable economic and social outputs, outcomes and impact,” Ms Ewart-Kennedy said.
“Equally, I am thrilled to be part of something that fosters inclusiveness and outcomes that benefit our immediate community, which is crucial to a strong, healthy regional community.
“I am very keen to build on the great framework already in place with the GV Health Foundation.
“I thank all the stakeholders for their strong commitment to our region and look forward to being in touch with all the wonderful donors and supporters in the coming months.”
GV Health Foundation chair Ross McPherson said trustees were “delighted” to welcome Ms Ewart-Kennedy.
“The trustees look forward to working with Claire to achieve outcomes we can be proud of well into the future,” Mr McPherson said.
GV Health chief executive Matt Sharp said he welcomed Ms Ewart-Kennedy to the role.
“We are grateful to the GV Health Foundation and the community for their ongoing support of GV Health,” Mr Sharp said.
