A display paying respects to people believed to have died or suffered serious side-effects after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine popped up at Hopwood Gardens in Echuca on Thursday, June 6.

The display is called ‘Forest of the Fallen’ and features numerous testimonials from people alive and deceased about health issues they say arose after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.
Along with the display, people gathered to observe the testimonials as part of a silent protest.
This isn’t the first time ‘Forest of the Fallen’ has appeared; it has been seen in towns such as Mildura, Deniliquin and Tocumwal.
A Deniliquin resident, Dale Collin, who says he was injured by a Pfizer vaccine in 2022, leaving him unable to walk unassisted, attended the display.
Co-organiser Sally Hutchinson spoke about the origins of ‘Forest of the Fallen’ and why it had been popping up in different towns.
“The forest originally came together because of a lady in Tasmania,” she said.
“We take the ‘Forest of the Fallen’ to many different towns. We’ve tried to run this in Echuca twice before but were pretty much shut down by the police.
“This is a silent protest; this is letting them know about people who are or were injured.
“We are their voice; these people who have passed away don’t have a voice any more.”
