A beautiful display of flowers greeted those entering the Civic Hall, and thanks have been expressed to everyone who put in entries.
Major prize winners were: Irene Wells – Mary Simpson award for Arrangement of Roses; Judith Rourke – Champion Rose, and Roy Chaplin - Most Successful Exhibitor.
The children from the pre-school and both primary schools once again provided delightful entertainment, and also art work for the stage decoration.

Local people have recently had to put up with a number of disruptions and inconveniences, among them windy weather and rain which ruined many floral prospects for entry to the Flower Show display.
There have also been roadworks, and an invasion of small moths which appeared suddenly in great numbers and got into everything.
Dubious mobile and internet coverage, and the inability to pay by card at some town businesses, caused by necessary Telstra upgrades being carried out in the area made it fairly clear that a move towards a cashless society may not be acceptable or do-able for rural areas, at least.
