A statement was released later that week explaining that several unforeseen circumstances, such as COVID-19 lockdowns and the October 2022 floods, impacted the business.
Business owner Cher Hetherington released a statement last Friday evening explaining how heartbroken and devastating this situation had been for her and her team.
“For a long time, there was total disbelief that it had happened at all, and I could hardly face my team or each day because I was so heartbroken,” Ms Hetherington said.
“The wonderful, supportive comments and gestures I received from so many of you at the time helped me to imagine a future.
“It was unbelievable to receive such an overwhelming response — and it gave me hope that while the door to my Fix dream has been closed, possibly another door will open one day.”
Messages of support and understanding flooded the comments beneath her statement on the Fix Facebook page.
Ms Hetherington said she was happy her Fix team members had been able to start new jobs.
“This has been a critical step for me, to know that they have moved forward in some way is so important,” she said.
“They have been brave and driven, and I wish them the very best.”
Ms Hetherington has been working through the liquidation process with her legal team and said anyone impacted financially by the closure would be contacted in the coming weeks.
