Last week we brought you news that the Mathoura Book Club has been established in the community.

And now you have a greater range of books at your disposal.
Gulpa Retreat Tourist Park has recently launched a free community library where you can select a book, drop off ones you have already read and catch up with like minded people.
The new venture has been supported by Campaspe Regional Library.
And if you are not sure of where to find the tourist park turn off the highway towards Picnic Point and go down the hill, but stop before you get to Polly’s Bridge - it’s on the right.
The Mathoura Book Club has been established at Mathoura’s library, and meets the first Thursday of the month at 1.30pm.

Mathoura Preschool has a huge array of great prizes in its annual raffle.
One of great interest is the two Medallion Club tickets to the Aus-X SUPERCROSS at Marvel Stadium.
The lucky winner, and a friend, will witness the best in the business from the best seats in the house.
All you have to do is support the preschool raffle at the club on Thursday, from 5pm.

Christmas is coming – it seems to get here quicker every year and everything is more expensive.
So how would you like the chance to have someone hand you $10,000 cash without any outlay?
It’s a possibility for Mathoura Bowling Club members with the Pick the Lock program being run by the club.
All they have to do is purchase a meal to be in the running to receive a key to unlock a padlock and gain access to the money.
Two keys are drawn on the last Thursday of each month with the next taking place next week.
I think I could handle that!

Congratulations to Nathan O’Callaghan who has been appointed to the board of the Mathoura District and Services Bowling Club.
His appointment was announced during the club’s annual meeting on Tuesday night.
I’m sure input from a younger person will prove valuable.
