Hosted by Berrigan Public School, the event showcased the talent and determination of our young athletes, all striving to achieve new personal bests (PBs) and secure a place at the top.
The atmosphere was electric, with an impressive display of sportsmanship observed throughout the day.
It was heart-warming to see students passionately cheering each other on, creating a supportive environment that truly highlighted the spirit of competition.
The climax of the day came when Finley Public School was crowned the Swimming Champions.
Three of its students - Camilla M, Bailey K, and Flynn R (surnames not provided due to school policy) - excelled in their divisions to be age champions.
A Finley Public School spokesperson said the overall victory is a “remarkable achievement”.
“Every swimmer who took to the pool can take immense pride in their efforts,” the school said.
“Notably, this is the first time the trophy has returned to our school since 2013, a fact that resonated with many, including Lucy, who remarked, ‘That was the year I was born’."
