Harmony Day was held on Friday, and students celebrated all week to recognise and embrace the diverse cultures that make up Australia.
A ‘Sharing Culture Around A Plate’ event will be hosted at the school this Saturday from 5pm.
Students will be presenting to the school community, sharing a little about themselves, their family and culture.
Relieving principal Kaila Murrowood said guests are asked to bring a plate of food to share.
“Harmony week is all about learning to be understanding, inclusive and respectful of each other's cultures and to help develop a sense of belonging for everyone,” she said.
“We welcome you to come along, share a meal and celebrate the diversity of cultures within our school community.
“Bring a main meal to share with others, or a family favourite from another country, and listen to our students present to our school community about themselves. Dessert will be catered for.
“We look forward to coming together to celebrate the diversity of cultures within our school community.”
Those wishing to attend are asked to RSVP to the school by March 26. Call 5882 6238 or email Blighty-p.school@det.nsw.edu.au.
Please indicate the number of people attending, and which dish you will supply.
