Hellier headlines an eye-catching list of recruits, joined in heading to Memorial Oval by a string of talents as the Magpies look to head back to finals for the first time since 2017.
Ben Giobbi, brother of Adam Giobbi and cousin to Zac, Max and Jacob Gleeson, has also committed, bringing VFL, WAFL and NAB League experience to the side.
The young gun spent last season on Port Melbourne's VFL list and played two games, while also playing for Eastern Football League club Rowville.
Man-mountain Zak Calvert, who stands at 207cm, has signed from Sunraysia Football League club Robinvale-Euston and brings class in the key position department.
And that's not all; Adrian Karatzas, Nick Baring and Harrison Lane will all return to Euroa with Daniel Yogarajah jumping on board, building tremendous depth to an emerging side.
In summary, it is a fine haul of players that addresses the Magpies’ clear need to bat deeper in the trenches.
“It's really promising,” Euroa coach Scott Rowan said.
“We looked at the areas we needed to add more depth in to improve, that's what we went after and we're lucky with how it's panned out so far.
“Losing Belly (Andrew Bell) and Moley (David Mole) early last season hurt the midfield group, there was still plenty of class but the depth wasn't there.
“Robbie Paradzayi and Jett Trotter went in there and they're really good kids in their own right, but they probably just need a bit more experience in there.”
While it is expected Hellier, who has been Collingwood's VFL captain for the last seven seasons, will once again be VFL-listed, Rowan hoped the 31-year-old would have a big impact at the club.
“He's got to meet with Buddha (Collingwood VFL coach Gary Hocking), our expectation is that he will be full-time, but that will be up to Jack,” Rowan said.
“We expect him full-time and that will be a real boost to the club.
“Him and Tom Garside are really good mates and we got talking to him, he came to a couple of games towards the end of last season and like what he saw and the feeling around the club.”
But while it appears Euroa has once again won the off-season, Rowan was quick to remind it takes far more than just big name signings to win games of football.
“The mood of the group is pretty buoyant at the moment, but we've had pretty good lists the last couple of seasons too,” he said.
“It's about the knowledge that talent isn't the only thing that matters, we have to work so hard in pre-season to achieve what we want to.”
