The standout was Grace Egan, who stuffed the stat sheet in Carlton's first victory of the season.
Egan starred for the Blues, finishing with an equal-high 24 touches (11 kicks and 13 handballs), which she shared with last season's best-and-fairest winner Maddy Prespakis.
Egan also registered one mark and three tackles in the 6.4 (40) to 2.4 (16) win over St Kilda.
On Friday night, Mansfield's Bonnie Toogood got bragging rights over Benalla's Becky Webster and Kyabram's Julia Crockett-Grills in the Western Bulldogs’ scrappy win over Geelong.
Despite the result, Toogood didn't have the greatest night as she kicked a sole behind from eight disposals and clunked a mark in the 15-point win.
For Geelong, Webster had five kicks, two handballs and three tackles, while Crockett-Grills had 11 disposals and six tackles.
Mooroopna's Millie Brown missed another game due to injury, but Geelong's coach Paul Hood expected her to be fit for the team's round four encounter against St Kilda on February 19.
“We do hope to have Millie Brown, but we're unsure with her injury how quick it will recover,” he said.
“She's a young player, so we have to respect that and not put her out there until she's right.
“Sooner the better as far as Millie (returning) is concerned — we'd love to have her back in the team.
While in Sunday's first match, Shepparton's Angela Foley recorded 12 disposals, three marks and two tackles in Adelaide's 1.7 (13) to 7.1 (43) loss to Fremantle.
Looking ahead, Egan will have a chance to continue her good form when Carlton takes on Richmond, as mentioned above, Geelong faces St Kilda, Foley's Adelaide is up against Brisbane and Toogood's Bulldogs host Melbourne.
