It includes two new assistant principals, and three school learning support officers.
Charmaine Lord joins Edward as assistant principal learning and support, while Alex Glowrey is assistant principal and classroom teacher.
The new SLSOs supporting the school will be Alena Larmour, Makhaya Mitsch and Miley McCully.
Mrs Glowrey is an experienced teacher who will be working with the school’s multi-categorical (MC) class and 5/6KG.
Additionally, she will be bringing her expertise in science education to inspire the students in a release from face-to-face (RFF) teaching role.
In addition to her teaching roles, as an assistant principal, she will be supporting students and staff with her leadership and passion for learning.
In her assistant principal role, Ms Lord will focus on learning support.
“With extensive experience in curriculum development and behaviour support, she is passionate about creating inclusive learning environments where all students can thrive,” the school said.
“Her expertise and dedication will be a valuable asset to our school community.”
The three new SLSOs will work across different age groups, and bring with them a range of experiences.
“Alena will be supporting our K/1KT and 1/2RK classrooms,” the school said.
“With hands-on experience in early childhood education from her work at a local preschool, she brings valuable insight and a passion for nurturing young minds.
“Alena is about to begin her teaching degree, and she is eager to enrich the Edward school classrooms and contribute to the growth and development of every student.
“Makhaya will be supporting in our MC and 5/6KG classes this year. She has formerly worked in a high school setting and recently completed a Bachelor of Paramedicine, bringing a unique set of skills to her new position.
“Miley is a familiar face at Edward Public School as an ex-EPS student, and the school are excited to welcome her to the staff as she begins her school-based traineeship, working towards becoming an SLSO.
“Miley will spend most of her time in K/1KT and 1/2RK and is excited to learn all about supporting students.”
