Victoria Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in Echuca on Saturday, November 2.
Emergency services were called to a property on McSwain Rd, Echuca, about 7.30pm.
An Echuca man, 56, was located deceased inside the home.
Police arrested a Mooroopna man, 30, at the scene who remains in custody.
The exact circumstances surrounding the death are yet to be determined at this stage and investigations remain ongoing.
It is believed both parties are known to each other.
