Lincoln Mifsud will face a first directions hearing at Shepparton County Court on January 21 next year on several charges including handling stolen goods and dealing with proceeds of crime.
On February 28 this year detectives from Cobram, Wangaratta and Campaspe criminal investigation units raided properties in Echuca’s Wharparilla Dve, Bilkey Crt and Matong Rd before arresting two men and a woman and seizing four Malibu ski boats, two Range Rovers, a Mercedes, Jayco caravan, two boats and an amount of cash and cocaine.
Represented by solicitor Michael Turner, Mr Mifsud entered a plea of not guilty during his committal hearing at Shepparton Magistrates Court on Monday, November 30.
Mr Mifsud’s co-accused Brett Spits, also of Echuca, had his matters adjourned until December 15.
Mr Spits is facing 13 charges, including the theft of two Easytow boat trailers, each worth $5000, and two Wakesetters, each valued at $130,000.
He was also charged with two counts of dealing with proceeds of crime relating to $9800 worth of cash and a Jayco caravan.
Mr Spits was represented by Zara Garde-Wilson who requested the adjournment due to new evidence.
Both men remain free on bail.
