Driver fined after car rolls

A 21 year-old Victorian man has been fined for alleged negligent driving after his car rolled on a dirt road in north Deniliquin.

Police and Deniliquin Fire + Rescue NSW responded to reports of a single vehicle crash on Pony Club Rd about 9.55am Saturday.

A man, who was not injured, was spoken to at the scene.

He told police the vehicle left the roadway and then rolled.

Vic man assaulted

Police are investigating an an alleged assault at a Deniliquin venue which saw one man taken to hospital.

Police were called to the Russell St hotel about 9pm Saturday.

A 22 year-old Victorian man was taken to the Deniliquin Hospital and later released with minor injuries.

The assault remains under investigation.

A 30 year-old Deniliquin man is to appear in court for allegedly driving while disqualified.

The car he was driving was stopped about 11.10pm Sunday in Poictiers St, Deniliquin.

Checks revealed the disqualification.
