The Greater Shepparton City Council-funded initiative, now in its 12th year, offers locals the chance to enhance their leadership skills and make a positive impact in their community.
The program consists of seven workshops covering essential skills such as public speaking, goal setting, resilience and leadership.
These sessions are designed to equip participants with the tools needed to enable lasting change in Greater Shepparton.
Mayor Shane Sali encouraged community members to seize this opportunity,
“This program has played a significant role in shaping leaders within our community for over a decade,” he said.
“If you have a passion for making a difference and want to develop your leadership skills, I strongly encourage you to apply.”
With only 20 spots available, participants gain networking skills with like-minded individuals within the group.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and be committed to strengthening their leadership skills for the benefit of the community.
The program will run between May and August, with a mix of face-to-face and virtual workshops.
Participants are required to attend all seven sessions to gain the full benefits of the program.
Interested individuals can contact council’s co-ordinator community development on 5832 9700 or email council@shepparton.vic.gov.au for further inquiries.
