Dig for vinyls this weekend

Time to experience again the joy of thumbing through stacks of vinyl records.

From noon until 4pm on Sunday, August 4, 50,000 new and used vinyls will be on display for purchase.

The event will be held at the GV Hotel Caberet Room and entry is free.

According to the event’s Facebook page, the Goulburn Valley is in need of music stores, more so than other regional areas.

“Over the past 12 months, we have continually been approached by stacks of people asking if we would consider taking our show on the road one more time,” the event’s ‘about’ section said.

“What was quite noticeable was that the Goulburn Valley kept being nominated as an area in need of some serious vinyl therapy due to having no recognised music stores for miles.

“So in the spirit of ‘taking the mountain to Mohammed’, we are saddling up the cream of vinyl vendors from Adelaide, Sydney, Canberra, country Victoria, Melbourne and Geelong and riding into the iconic GV Hotel for the biggest music fair to ever hit the Greater Shepparton region.”
