In the second successful drug bust in Deniliquin in as many weeks, police seized an indictable quantity of methylamphetamine and cash from a Maher St premises on Tuesday.
Police allege to have found the drug, known as ‘ice’, while executing a firearms prohibition order and search warrant about 1pm.
A 33 year-old male was arrested at the scene.
He was taken to Deniliquin Police Station and charged with supply prohibited drug greater than indictable but less than commercial quantity, found on/entering/leaving a drug premises and recklessly deal with proceeds of crime.
Police will allege in court the man gave a false pin for his mobile phone, leading to an additional charge of give false info re digital evidence access.
The man was refused bail to appear at Albury Local Court on Wednesday.
His matters were adjourned until September 11 at Deniliquin, and the man was refused bail.
Last week, police seized 2.45kg of cannabis while searching a Cressy St home in Deniliquin.
A 67 year-old was been charged with supplying cannabis greater than indictable and less than commercial quantity.
He was also charged with one possess prohibited drug and cultivate prohibited plant less than or equal to small quantity.
