“Our appreciation and many thanks also go to the Sacred Heart teachers and students for all your help on the day.
“Bunnings Yarrawonga and Tim Roadley for the pizza oven raffle prize and the continued support you give Yarrawonga Friends in Common.

“We are so appreciative and extremely grateful to all our amazing community and local businesses for your generous support of donations for our spinning wheel prizes.
“Yarrawonga Friends in Common would really like to thank you all for making our Cuppa for Cancer such a successful event. You helped us raise an amazing amount of over $11,000.
“This will enable us to provide more than two months of petrol vouchers to assist patients with the travel costs to the cancer treatment centres.”
Central Murray Sunrise Rotary Club also donated $1000 to FIC to thank them for all of their work in town.
“We fundraise all the time and raised this money particularly from our Easter BBQ at Bunnings,” President Elect Jan Marshall said.
“We decided to donate to Friends in Common as they came and spoke at the club and have supported us.
“They have always been very helpful and worthwhile to a number of our members.
“Anyone who wants to come along and see what Central Murray Sunrise Rotary is all about, can join in every second Wednesday from 7.30am – 8.30am at Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort.”
Mulwala Water Ski Club CEO Peter Duncan said the Ski Club were more than happy to assist with the running of the Cuppa for Cancer event and help the day once again be a resounding success.
“This year’s Friends In Common Cuppa for Cancer saw an excellent crowd who were very generous,” Mr Duncan said.
“The local businesses in Yarrawonga and Mulwala were also very generous with donating prizes and vouchers for the spinning wheel tables. Businesses and individuals donated food, Sacred Heart students and teachers did an excellent job selling the spinning wheel tickets, as they do every year.
“There is so many people who donate or give their time because they know of the amazing work Friends In Common do in our community.
“It is always a great cause to support.”
The spinning wheel was in action all day with Sacred Heart College students doing a great job selling tickets with several local businesses donating to the major raffles.
Bunnings Yarrawonga was one business who donated part of the major prize of a pizza oven with Activities Coordinator Tim Roadley drawing the winner.
“We are also working with FIC to put a reflection garden at the hospital (Yarrawonga Health),” Tim said.
“We will still assist with monetary donations but we would prefer to work with community groups to host their events or create something rather than donate money.
“We always love assisting Friends in Common as they do so much for the town.”
