At Monday night’s Lightfoot Medal count at the Sherbourne Terrace, Mooroopna Main Oval was dubbed the hub of this season’s biggest weekend of all, hosting the Haisman Shield fixture between Katandra and Numurkah and the B-grade clash pitting Numurkah against Kyabram.
David D’Elia and Garry Wood have the honour of officiating the Blues and Eagles rematch on Mooroopna Main Oval, while Abas Ali and Owen Robertson have been given the B-grade counters for the John Gray Oval decider.
Pine Lodge and Mooroopna will do battle in the C-grade finale, set to butt heads at Princess Park’s John Riordan Oval.
Jim Evans and Brett Sharp will take charge of the fixture between the Lodgers and Cats.
Numurkah has also booked a ticket to the D-grade grand final — making it a big weekend for the Blues across the board — and will face Invergordon.
Vibert Reserve’s main pitch will play host to the match, with Darren Young and Fred Andronaco alternating in the position behind the stumps at the bowler’s end.
The first premier of the season though will be either Northerners or Old Students, with the E-grade grand final set to be run and won on Saturday at Vibert Reserve.
Officiating on the second pitch will be David Chaston and Alan Muntz.
The A-grade grand final will once again be streamed live and broadcast on 98.5 ONEFM.
