This weekend the women of the CWA’s Eastern Goulburn Valley Group will be hosting their annual craft exhibition and after working on a variety of projects, they’re keen to show off their hard work.

The craft projects for the exhibition will feature handmade items from each CWA branch under the Eastern Goulburn Valley Group.
Each item will be judged by women from a neighbouring CWA group, with the winner being the branch with the most points, which will be announced on Saturday, March 26, at 11am.
CWA member and publicity officer Gwenda Metzke said she loved how the exhibition allowed anyone to pitch in and have a go at entering an item.
“We've got some very talented ladies who do win prizes throughout Victoria and then there's others who put an entry in and hope that they get a bit of recognition,” she said.
“Just the fact that we can enter an item in, no matter how good or bad it is, is really good.”
There will be various craft demonstrations and items to either view or buy on the day, including blankets, jams, jewellery, clothing, knitting, artwork and much more.
“We’ll have a basket weaving demonstration, I’ll be doing a Sashiko Japanese stitch and there’ll also be a knitting demonstration as well,” Ms Metzke said.
Ms Metzke encourages anyone to come along to the exhibition and check out the handmade items of the CWA branches.
“Come along and see what everyday people can do and enjoy the friendship and our lovely Devonshire teas, but mainly the friendship,” she said.
“That's what CWA is all about, the friendship and support that we can give women and children.”
The exhibition will be at the Shepparton East Football Club clubrooms and starts on Friday, March 25, from 2.30pm to 5pm and will resume the next day from 10am to 4pm.
The admission fee is $5, with Devonshire tea and light refreshments available.
