Applications are open for Greater Shepparton City Council’s Visitor Experience Innovation Grant, with funding of up to $10,000 available.
The grant aims to support business sustainability and improve the region’s tourism offering.
“These investments and projects will enhance the visitor experience, grow visitation, increase the length of stay and boost the economic stimulation in the region,” City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Shane Sali said.
Since the program’s introduction in 2020, more than 18 local businesses have received funding for projects, including Tank’s Galah at The Milkbar, La Zingara at Longleat and electric vehicle charging stations at firms around the region.
“Our businesses need to look at how else we can service the community and visitors, and make people want to see and do more in our region,” Cr Sali said.
Before applying, contact council’s visitor innovation grant mentor, who will offer guidance and support the application process.
Grant applications close on Monday, April 10.
