GOTAFE’s 2024 Industry Connector Events will feature Nicholas Wyman, a world-class speaker on skills and workforce development who will share his insights.
This year’s theme will be ‘Accelerating our region’s workforce potential through workplace-based training’, with business and industry leaders gaining practical skills and insights into workplace-based training at the events.
Mr Wyman will be speaking at three events, in Shepparton, Seymour and Wangaratta, taking place on July 30 and 31.
“Nicholas has delivered over 500 workshops and keynote presentations across the world and has worked with governments and major corporations to implement skills programs,” GOTAFE’s executive director student experience Laura Baker said.
Ms Baker said the events would offer employers practical advice and networking opportunities.
“Workplace-based training, such as apprenticeships and traineeships can be an intimidating space for employers to step into,” she said.
“GOTAFE is here to walk side-by-side with employers from across the region to help increase understanding of hands-on skills development and the earn as you learn/workplace-based training model.”
The events are free, but spots are limited. Those wishing to attend are encouraged to book early by visiting https://www.gotafe.vic.edu.au/whats-on/industry-connector-events
