VicEmergency has issued a minor flood warning for the Campaspe River from Barnadown to Rochester.
Minor flooding is likely at Campaspe Weir on Monday afternoon.
The Campaspe River at Rochester is currently at 107.69 mAHD and steady, below the minor flood level (113.00 mAHD).
The Campaspe River at Rochester is likely to exceed the minor flood level (113.00 mAHD) on Monday night.
Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.
More information will be provided once river level at Barnadown have peaked.
Campaspe River — Lake Eppalock to Barnadown
Rainfall totals of more than 160mm have been recorded across the Campaspe River catchment since 9am Sunday.
Recent rainfall totals have caused river levels to rise across the catchment.
The situation is being monitored and warnings will be updated as required.
Major flooding is occurring along the Campaspe River from Lake Eppalock to Barnadown.
Lake Eppalock is spilling and water levels downstream to the lake are rising.
The Campaspe River at Barnadown is currently at 6.31m and rising, with major flooding.
The Campaspe River at Barnadown may reach about 6.5m late Monday morning, above the November 2010 flood level.
Train services and road closures
Train services have been disrupted along the Echuca line, with train and coach services suspended due to road closures.
V/Line is working with the coach operator and emergency services to determine when coach services can safely resume.
Staff are on hand at Bendigo and Echuca stations to support affected passengers.
Roads from Elmore to Heathcote are affected by road closures and people are advised to check real-time traffic conditions at traffic.vicroads.vic.gov.au
