School principal Keith Willett said the school's results were a testimony to the Year 12 cohort's outstanding effort.
The 2020 dux Thomas Smith completed his entire schooling from Foundation to Year 12 at the school.
“We extend our congratulations to Thomas for his industrious and conscientious approach to his studies across subjects including English, physics, maths methods, further maths, creative media and art,” Mr Willett said.
Mr Smith will pursue his career pathway in animation and interactive media at RMIT.
School valedictorian for 2020 Shem Swoffer completed his final year with excellent results across English, physics, maths methods, further maths, visual communication and food studies.
Mr Swoffer will pursue his passion and attend university to study engineering.
Mr Willett said the partnership between students, parents and teachers at CAGS was evident.
“I acknowledge the guidance, commitment and dedication of not only the Year 12 teachers but of those who have invested in the students throughout their educational journey at the school, as evidenced by our 2020 dux,” he said.
“I also acknowledge our parents who have been remarkable in the manner in which they supported their young people at home, during the extended periods of COVID-19 remote teaching and learning.”
Mr Willett said the entire CAGS community thanked the 2020 Year 12 class member for their contributions to the school and wished them every success.
