The experienced duo will look to take Rumba back up the Murray Football League table next year after the side missed finals this season following a preliminary final berth last year.
“I'm looking forward to it,” Atkinson said.
“Probably after the year we've had it was a bit disappointing to finish the way we did, we lost a few close games - about six by a couple of kicks - and if you win a few of them you're playing finals, but we couldn't quite get over the line.
“Most of the core group of boys are already keen to get back into it.”
The squad will not have to wait long to do just that, with pre-season beginning on November 25, but Atkinson and Traianidis are already on the look-out for players to add to their list.
“There will probably be a couple of outs, but at this time of year you're always out recruiting so hopefully we can snag a few recruits in the coming weeks,” Atkinson said.
Kian Wise and Kyal Atkinson are among those players to already re-sign, with Traianidis excited about stepping up to the senior coaching role one more.
“I've been around the club for a while, so I know all of the boys pretty well and we're just keen to get this year up and going,” he said.
“We're just keen for our young boys to have another good year, we've probably had them for two years now in the seniors - a group of about five or six of them - so from our point of view we just want to see them improve and get better.
“They were our core last year so if we can get a few 27-28 year olds who can come and help those young fellas we can see that will take us a bit further.”
And although the senior side missed finals, the reserves and under-17 squads faced off in MFL deciders this year - showcasing the depth in the club's ranks.
“I think the year was still pretty successful with the seconds and thirds getting in and a couple of netball sides as well,” Atkinson said.
