A 10 year old girl was airlifted to Royal Childrens Hospital with upper and lower body injuries whilst an eight year old boy was conveyed to North East Health in Wangaratta with upper body injuries after a “biscuit” inflatable collided with a fishing boat on Lake Mulwala on Sunday, January 5.
Emergency services were called to the weir wall around 11.30am after reports a ski boat towing the inflatable device was coming around a bend near the Yarrawonga Holiday Park when it collided with a stationary fishing boat.
A 34-year-old man also suffered non-life threatening injuries with all parties treated at the scene by paramedics.
In a statement, NSW Police said their counterparts in Victoria would conduct further inquiries with the skippers of both vessels involved in the crash.
