Reimagined from the former Victorian Youth Week, this exciting festival promises a jam-packed September filled with youth-focused and youth-led events.
While designed with 12 to 25-year-olds in mind, the festival welcomes attendees of all ages.
A collaborative effort, the event is backed by an impressive lineup of partners including the Greater Shepparton Youth Organisations Network, Council Departments, GV Libraries, Freeza and the Victorian NSW Government.
City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Shane Sali enthusiastically endorsed the festival.
“Greater Shepparton Youth Fest provides an exciting opportunity for organisations, as well as event organisers, to get involved in supporting our young people with free and low-cost events,” he said.
“Festivals like these are so important to support our young people and their social connectedness, physical and mental health, and wellbeing.”
The program features an exciting mix of events scattered throughout Greater Shepparton, offering something for everyone.
A highlight will be a council-led event on Sunday, September 29 at the Shepparton Skate Park, featuring a BMX, skate, and scoot competition, alongside an engaging First Nations art workshop.
