The event will take place on Thursday, May 8, at the multipurpose pavilion, Shepparton Showgrounds.
With close to 3000 students already registered, this year’s event is set to be another record-breaking success.
Schools from across Greater Shepparton, Campaspe and Moira shires and as far as Yea to Cohuna are gearing up to attend.
Organised by the Goulburn Murray Local Learning and Employment Network and Greater Shepparton City Council, Careers Day Out provides students with hands-on experiences, workshops and industry insights across a range of industries.
This year’s event will showcase key industry hubs, including:
● Manufacturing hub
● Health hub presented by Goulburn Valley Health
● Trades hubs
● Farming and agriculture hub
● Transport and logistics and automotive
● Universities and training providers
● Warehouse and logistics
Event organisers are calling on regional businesses, vocational providers and education institutions to get involved and secure their spot by Friday, April 4.
“We’re excited to host the event back at the multipurpose oavilion and outdoor grounds, allowing us to showcase displays with larger equipment and machinery,’’ GMLLEN executive officer Bec Costa-Lowe said.
‘’Careers Day Out has seen significant growth in recent years, reflecting the increased demand for hands-on career exploration opportunities from the next generation.’’
Students will have the chance to explore various career paths through interactive activities — whether it’s picking up a new tool in the trades hub or listening to a stethoscope in the health hub, students can engage and learn from the best in the business.
With its continued dedication to supporting regional students, Careers Day Out remains a pivotal event in shaping the future of northern Victoria’s workforce.
