A Shepparton man, 32, had his car impounded after allegedly doing a burnout.
Victoria Police Public Order Response Team members allegedly observed the driver complete a burnout in his car on Tuesday, September 12, at 7.30pm, on Poplar Ave, Shepparton.
Police intercepted the vehicle and allegedly found three young children in the back seat.
The man will receive a summons to appear in court.
The vehicle was impounded for 30 days, costing $1375.
The response team, with support from police air wing, dog squad, transit safety division, road policing command and local divisional resources, ran Operation Summit from Tuesday, September 12, to Thursday, September 14.
The operation targeted road policing and public order issues within the Greater Shepparton area following an increase in fatal and serious non-fatal collisions.
Police will continue to be highly visible to detect and deter crime.
